Rookie Guru

Man, don't get me started on this one.  In all my years this does not seem to get much better.  Now days, they have "Hassle Free" packaging.  While this does help to easily open a package, many times it doesn't help to put it back in if you need to return an item!  Sometimes it feels like your trying to put a cat into a tub of water! via GIPHY For a store bought item, you can probably just take it back even if you don't have a box or packaging and chances are they will take it back. However, if you bought online and need to ship?  This can be a real challenge! So along with "Hassle Free" packaging to unpack, perhaps companies should also thing about repackaging also! #RookieGuru #GiveMeMore

So we have all seen them. Those obnoxious infomercials that make the human race look like a bunch of bumbling idiots who can't tie their own shoes.  I understand they are trying to prove a point about the superiority of their product, but do they really need to be that extreme?  I mean who really pushes their bread down flat before trying to cut it?  Also, why are they so often in black and white?! Guess it adds to the effect? via GIPHY There's a good movie plot... A man gets stuck in a world of infomercials and in order to survive he must not fall pray to their stupidity.  Every choice counts as he navigates through a world where every moment could be his last (spoken in a movie trailer voice). I mean he could get taken out by someone trying to use a garden hose as a bungee cord right?! That being said, it must be a very effective way of marketing because they are still widely used today.  Well if you watch TV after midnight anyway...  At least ...

So many times when I am watching movies, I have to turn the volume up so loud just to hear them speak.  Then when a big action part comes up, I feel like Marty McFly on the opening scene of Back to the Future... via GIPHY I always wonder, why the heck can't they get the sound levels adjusted right?!  Millions and millions of dollars in funding and still this?!  Perhaps they need a RookieGuru... Oh well, at least it keeps me awake! #RookieGuru
