“The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.”

On February 22, 1732, the world was forever changed when a special child was born. He was a husband, a father (of adopted children), a man of faith, a general and the first President of The United States of America. All the things he did in his life he did not aspire to do, but rose to the occasion when his people and his country needed him most. One thing is certain, he did it all with the help and direction of God. This great country was founded by our Father in Heaven. George knew this and always tried to do what's right before God.
Countless miracles can be seen through the revolutionary war and the fact the colonies won against the powerful British army is a miracle in and of itself. Many times mysterious weather like fog, wind, and storms saved his troops and helped them defeat the British. He recognized the hand of God in all his endeavors and ordered his men to be clean, pray and trust in God. When the war was just starting, he was asked to command the armies. With hardly any experience, he humbly accepted leaving his wife and farm. He commanded the armies through an unprecedented war to victory that eventually led to the greatest nation in history and on earth.
When the war was over, he was actually offered to be King of America. He hastily turned this down and with congress and the other founding fathers created the constitution and form of government that gives freedom to it's people. He became President in 1789 and served until 1797. He retired after that and only 2 short years later he was gone. He came in from riding his horse on December 12, 1799 around his estate all wet and with a soar throat. It soon progressed and two days later on December 14, 1799 he passed. This great man who dedicated almost his entire life to his people and country was gone, but would be forever remembered as the "Father of his country".
