Fun Day Monday - Craziest Stunts Ever!

I remember as a kid seeing Evel Knievel do some crazy things.  Although most of his stunts were before I was born, he was still very much in the lime light when I was a kid.  So thought it would be fun to list the craziest stunts of all time!

Felix Baumgartner's Stratosphere Jump
We have all seen and heard of people sky diving, but this crazy dude took it to a whole new level.  He jumped from the stratosphere (24 miles up) on Oct 14, 2012.  He jumped from a small capsule and fell for 9 whole minutes before touching down near Roswell New Mexico.  Perhaps that is what happened back in the 50's when something crashed...?

Philippe Petit  Trade Towers Tight Rope Walk
This crazy guy and his friend strung a cable between the recently completed trade towers.  On Aug 7th 1974 he walked across the stretched cable and danced around for like 45 mins out there.  This is such a famous stunt that in 2015 the made a movie about it called "The Walk".

Evel Knievel's Snake River Jump
On Sept. 8, 1974 Evel Knievel attempted to jump the Snake River Canyon near Twin Falls, ID. He had a motorcycle that had been modified by a NASA engineer with a rocket attached.  Unfortunately his drogue parachute opened prematurely and he floated to the bottom of the canyon.

Bubba Blackwell Jumps 15 Greyhound Buses
In 1999 Bubba set off to beat Knievel's record of jumping 13 and a half greyhound buses.  So he set up 15.  On the Las Vegas Strip he launched his bike 157 feet clearing the buses and beating the record.  Pretty nuts!

Gary Connery Skydives Without A Parachute
This guy jumped from a helicopter with nothing but a wing suit and fell over 2400 ft crash landing on over 18,000 boxes.  I wonder if it gave him box burn... lol

There are many crazies out there trying to make their mark.  One thing is for certain, this Rookie won't be one of them.  That is one area I would never want to be a Guru in.
